Welcome to MAKEUP BY AK.
These Terms & Conditions apply to bridal makeup and related beauty services provided by MAKEUP BY AK (“MAKEUP BY AK”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By making a booking with MAKEUP BY AK, the client (“you” or “client”) acknowledges that they have read and understood these Terms & Conditions and agree to them, subject to any rights and protections that cannot legally be excluded.

1. Booking Confirmation
A wedding booking is considered confirmed only when all of the following have been completed:
- the required 50% advance payment has been paid;
- the payment has been confirmed by MAKEUP BY AK; and
- the client has received the applicable e-bill or email confirmation or WhatsApp confirmation.
Until these requirements have been completed, a date should not be treated as finally confirmed.
2. Booking Advance
A 50% advance payment is required for confirmation of a wedding booking.
The advance forms part of the booking arrangement and is subject to the cancellation, rescheduling and refund provisions set out in these Terms & Conditions.
3. Cancellation by the Client
If the client cancels a confirmed wedding booking, the 50% advance payment is non-refundable.
Cancellation by the client does not create an automatic right to a refund of the advance.
This provision is subject to any rights or remedies that may apply under mandatory applicable law.
4. Rescheduling of the Wedding Date
If the client changes the wedding date after the booking has been confirmed:
- the booking may be moved to the new date only if MAKEUP BY AK is available on that date;
- rescheduling does not create a right to a refund;
- if MAKEUP BY AK is unavailable on the requested new date, MAKEUP BY AK will not be able to provide the service on that date; and
- the advance will remain non-refundable. Subject to any mandatory rights or remedies available under applicable law.
Clients should communicate any request to reschedule as soon as reasonably possible.
5. Refunds
The booking advance is generally non-refundable.
An exception applies where MAKEUP BY AK is unable to provide the booked service because the artist is unavailable due to health or personal reasons.
In that circumstance, the applicable advance may be refunded in accordance with the booking arrangement.
Any other payment, expense or amount paid by the client will be dealt with according to its nature and the applicable booking arrangement and law.
6. Travel and Destination Bookings
For bookings requiring travel or destination arrangements:
- travel and stay-related expenses are separate from the makeup charges;
- applicable travel and accommodation/stay expenses are to be paid in advance; and
- payment of travel and stay expenses does not replace or include the makeup charges unless expressly stated otherwise in the client’s booking.
The specific travel and stay arrangements applicable to a booking will be communicated to the client before the relevant arrangements are finalized.
7. Client and Wedding-Day Delays
MAKEUP BY AK understands that wedding schedules can sometimes experience minor delays.
A delay of up to 20 minutes is considered understandable.
Where the client or wedding schedule causes a delay exceeding 20 minutes, MAKEUP BY AK reserves the right to leave in order to attend another appointment scheduled after the client’s booking.
Where MAKEUP BY AK leaves because of a delay caused by the client or wedding schedule exceeding the 20-minute period:
- the service may not be completed; and
- the 50% advance remains non-refundable.
Clients are therefore responsible for ensuring that they and the relevant wedding schedule are ready for the agreed appointment time.
8. Multiple Brides and Simultaneous Bookings
MAKEUP BY AK does not take multiple brides for the same time slot.
A bridal booking is therefore based on the agreed appointment schedule and availability of the artist.
Additional services or additional persons should be discussed and confirmed separately before the appointment where applicable.
9. Client Images, Photography and Social Media
MAKEUP BY AK may use photographs or videos featuring the completed makeup look for portfolio, website, social-media and related promotional purposes.
If a client does not want their images to be shared, the client must inform MAKEUP BY AK in advance, before the relevant content is posted.
Where the client has not communicated an objection in advance, MAKEUP BY AK may use the relevant images or content for the purposes described above.
Once such content has been posted, MAKEUP BY AK’s policy is that it will not be deleted for one month.
This provision does not affect any rights that may apply under mandatory applicable privacy, publicity, intellectual-property or other law.
10. Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for:
- providing accurate booking and event information;
- communicating changes to the wedding date or schedule as soon as possible;
- being ready at the agreed appointment time;
- allowing sufficient time for the agreed makeup service;
- informing MAKEUP BY AK in advance of any relevant requirements or restrictions; and
- communicating any objection to image sharing before relevant content is posted.
11. Availability and Scheduling
All services are subject to the availability of MAKEUP BY AK.
A requested date or rescheduled date is not considered available merely because the client has requested it. Availability must be confirmed by MAKEUP BY AK.
12. Service Arrangements
The precise services to be provided, appointment timing, location and applicable charges are determined by the individual booking arrangement communicated to the client.
Where the booking arrangement contains terms that specifically apply to the client’s booking, those terms should be read together with these Terms & Conditions.
13. Changes to These Terms
MAKEUP BY AK may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The version applicable to a particular booking should be determined with reference to the terms communicated or accepted at the time of that booking, subject to applicable law.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are intended to be governed by the laws of India.
Where a dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of Indian courts, MAKEUP BY AK’s preferred jurisdiction is Hyderabad, Telangana, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or restrict any mandatory legal right, remedy or jurisdiction available to a consumer or other party under applicable law.
15. Legal Rights
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any right, remedy, protection or liability that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or waived under applicable law.
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
